Avencast rise of the mage mods11/19/2022 ![]() ![]() It's not like I disagree with the critics and can't see in which ways these games are flawed or mediocre, it's just that I enjoyed playing them anyway. Leroux: Dunno about love, and I can't think of a game that everybody hates, but I enjoyed several games that were often criticized in reviews and only got average ratings, because they're considered flawed or mediocre, like: From what I've seen of both games, I didn't think Invisible War was really all that bad compared to Deus Ex (but in the end I got bored by both of them). I liked Dreamfall: The Longest Journey better than TLJ. ![]() Tales from Candlekeep: Tomb of Annihilation I really should play through the rest of this game someday, and grab the expansion packs which I hear are even better.ĭunno about love, and I can't think of a game that everybody hates, but I enjoyed several games that were often criticized in reviews and only got average ratings, because they're considered flawed or mediocre, like: There's often a disconnect between how many people actually hate a given game, and how much the people who do hate it talk about it online and give the false impression that nobody likes it. But alas, only 1/3 of people who have played it have given it a negative rating, and only some of them would likely say that they "hated" it I imagine. It's just a case of the people who like this game aren't as vocal about it than those who dislike it, which gives an impression that it is a heavily hated game. Also, it has a 67% positive rating on Steam which means that out of everyone who has played it on Steam, 2/3 of them liked it enough to give it a positive rating, meaning for every one person who dislikes it, 2 people like it and I'm one of them. ![]() With that definition, I think I would have to say Duke Nukem Forever, because it tends to have a lot of negative comments thrown at it online whenever it comes up in discussion however I have found what I've played of the game and seen others playing the game to be enjoyable to play/watch. Having said that, I'll interpret the question as if it was a more liberal "What game(s) are you fond of that there is a lot of vocal disdain expressed by others." Hmm, what level of padding is there around the definitions of "everyone" and "hates" I wonder? I guess that's up to each of us to define, for if dealing in absolutes, I don't think there would be a game that matches such a strict definition. Or if you want, let me know what games you hate that everyone loves. ![]() Kai2: So, I love a lot of games that are pretty universally hated (one being Arcania: Gothic 4 that brought down JoWood) and would love to hear the game(s) you love that almost everyone hates. ![]()
